Wow I created this blog over two months ago and I have yet to actually even blog anything! We didn't have Internet at the condo until about a month ago so I guess maybe that could be my excuse except I sit at a computer during work 5 days a week with a decent amount of free time, so I don't really have much of an excuse.
Key points of my Wyoming summer thus far:
*Officially moving out of my parents house (although I think half my stuff is still there!) and mostly being financially independent. These were both stressful and freeing at the same time.
*Jumping off the rock at Phelps lake into the freezing water and then getting charged by a mother moose on the way back to the car.
*Mountain biking and having to walk our bikes around a herd of buffalo (that doesn't happen in Indiana)
*Cooking dinner with my roomies and having our "personal chef" cook for us too
*My awesome birthday dinner at the Bistro with homemade cake and then out for drinks later with all my amazing Wyoming friends
*Pig wrestling at the county fair. Even though we didn't get the pig in the bucket it was still awesome and I will definitly be doing it again next year! Green Girls and Ham
*White Water Rafting on the Snake River in an 8 man boat
*Laying out by the creek with my roommates
*Having people ask me for directions or good places to eat around town (I might actually look like I live in Jackson Hole now!)
*Sharing a room with Jean even though she snores like crazy! I will miss her when she leaves in 2 weeks!
*Getting free spa treaments and trying all the cool products. I have learned so much working in the spa and have decided to gradually start using only organice beauty products. (Did you know that coconut oil is a natural sunscreen and that lavender is good for sun burns?)
*Recieving packages, e-mails, notes, text messages, and phone calls from people back home
*The caring, down to earth, helpful, nice, and all around amazing people I work with.
I'm not going to lie, these past few days of work have been kinda rough and I began to be unhappy with it but after writing all of the awesome things that have happened so far this summer I feel better. This place is amazing and I really couldn't ask for much more. I just need to remain positive & remember to be happy and most importantly to just be myself.
My goals remain the same and I think I have been making decent progress on them but these long work days can make them a little more difficult to maintain.
Goals:
*Workout more and eat better. These two things will inturn lead to me being healther, happier, and hopefully loose weight.
*Continue searching for who I am and staying true to that. (Recently I have felt that I have lost part of myself, like I have become rather dull and I need to find my fun, energetic self again.)
*Count my blessing, especially on those really bad days because I am truely blessed in many ways
*Spend less, save more, pay off that debt!
Well I think I have made up for my lack of blogging and have reached the present time. Tonight is Relay for Life and even though I work late I can't wait to go walk and help with the midnight snack and movie. Hope to post soon!
Until next time.....Peace Love and Facials!
