So we are into our full on off season right now which means there are very few people in town and most of the local businesses are either shut down or have opted for shorter hours of operation.
Therefor:
1. I am working at Chill instead of Solitude since that hotel is closed until Thanksgiving, only Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
2. I am dog sitting for my boss' two dogs at her house
3. My dad is in town for about a week and a half
So far these events have occurred since Monday.
*Monday-Start dog sitting, cleaned our apartment to prepare for dad's arrival, Skyped with Ch, and baked cookies. Dad arrives late in PM
*Tuesday-wake at 5:30am to drive my roomie to the airport, dog sit, entertain dad (which is a little harder because it is fogging out so activities are limited), Made pork cops, asparagus, and potatoes for dinner with dad and Ry
*Wednesday-dog sit once again (they are extra crazy today especially to and from the dog park and while there), entertain dad (still foggy) made beef stew and enjoyed for dinner
*Thursday(this is where the craziness begins)
1. Took car into shop to have noise looked at and find out I need a new wheel baring so we set-up and appointment for that afternoon $300 approximately
2. Went to another repair shop to get an estimate on the damage cause by the lady who backed into me a few months ago (her fault but she was uninsured at the time), set date to have it fixed
3. Go home to get van and leave my car at the repair shop
4. Head to check on dogs and take them for a walk..... walk into house to find they have shredded one of the couch cushions! So after putting the dogs outside and cleaning up the mess they go for a walk and are then put out in the garage.
5. Fog finally starts to lift and sun comes out so dad and I do some attic rearranging.
6. Head to Village because I have to work in the spa for a few hours to get ready for opening today. Have issues getting up to the spa because the elevator is locked and my key won't work. Once in spa I notice that furniture has not been moved back into place since engineering moved it to paint. Do spa things and head to find dad who came in to look at shops in Village and use hotel's fitness center.
7. Talk to lady from State Farms claims and it turns out that since the person who hit me was uninsured I have to pay my $500 deductible for repairs and then SF will go after her through a claims agency to get my money back. A. Who knows how long that will take and B. Who knows if I will get all of it back so I have postponed getting that fixed. Good news is my car has a new wheel bearing and the noise is gone, shop closes before we are back in town so I have to pick it up on Friday
8. Talk to boss about her crazy dogs and the couch and she said to not worry about it and to just put them out in the garage when I am not there from now on. Have never done anything that bad, only chewed on rugs.
9. Head to front desk to turn in keys were I am told by manager on duty that since my dad isn't staying at the hotel that he can no longer use the fitness center (not sure that I ever really asked anyone if that was ok although I think I may have mentioned it in passing to my boss also when I am at Solitude it is never a problem for him to use their facilities so I figured it would be ok plus we are at like 5% occupancy. MOD also could have mentioned this to me at time of getting the key for my dad to begin with but anyway). Great first impression on the MOD and on working here at Chill again after a year of being gone, oh well.
10. By this point I'm pretty bummed and don't say much in the car on the way to dinner, but Merry Piglets was delicious as always!
11. Head back to take care of crazy dogs and all seems well for the evening
Friday
1. Wake up early to make breakfast and spend some time with dogs so maybe they aren't as crazy, everything appears to be well with them and the house. Dad comes to get me so we can go pick up my car and I decide to leave the dogs inside since I will be gone 30 minutes max...
2. Get back to house with just enough time to shower before the housekeeper comes and they have started to shred another cushion! Out to the garage they went and I headed to shower with tears rolling down my face (I was only gone for 30 minutes, do they hate me or just really miss their owners, or is Jack still too young to know better, or since they go away with it yesterday did they think it was ok to do it again today?).
3. Just as I got out of the shower the housekeeper arrived and not long after my dad to take the crazies out for a walk.
4. I actually managed to be ready and leave on time for work today despite all of the mornings events.
5. At work I got there by 10am and waited for someone to come back to the front desk who would be able to remake my "staff" key so that I could get upstairs. After the GM of the hotel tried several different things she was finally able to make a key that worked (seriously the GM doesn't know the code?! Write it down somewhere). Started to open the spa and realized I forgot my black shoes out in the car.
6. Making morning rounds and go down the elevator to get ice on the next floor only to find out that the elevator has been locked and I can't get back up to the 6th floor, they were taking pictures of it I was told. So I headed to my car and back and still waited about 10 more minutes for them to release the elevator.
7. Was finally able to get back up to the spa and finish opening, put away a huge cart full of laundry, worked on some left over projects from yesterday and then finally here I am at 3:00 able to just sit down and relax for a few minutes. AHHHHH
8. Oh and now at 5pm when I am editing this post I just had to cover for the PM MOD with a guest on him not knowing how to do something but I said the wrong things to the guest and made him look like he has no idea what he is doing. Well I mean that is the case in this situation but I wasn't supposed to let the guest know that. Looking back on it I could lied to her about why we were unable to help her at this time but I couldn't think that way when I was talking to her but still, it was his problem for not knowing how to do it I shouldn't have to cover for him he should.
Is it November 16th yet so that I can be done with dog sitting?????? I've decided that no matter how long I am gone they will either go outside or in the garage and that I am going to try and let them sleep with me at night in an attempt to make peace, at least my door will be open and they can come in and out as they please unlike before when I would shut it. This also means I have put everything that I have over there into closets or drawers so Jack doesn't decide to chew on it!
Other than this crazy week life is good. Halloween was fun and I am enjoying having my dad here although it is semi stressful to figure out stuff for us to do especially when it's foggy and to try and go back and forth between my place where he is staying and where I am dog sitting.
Peace, Love, and Dog Sitting

OMG!! I feel stressed just from reading it!! You'll be fine at work I'm sure. Don't worry abou the impression you think you made. You are an awesome person and a great worker! You're just having an off week...I know I've had plenty of those before! I hope you have a better time at work and good luck with the dogs!! I'll pray for you!!
Love ya!!
Glad you can read my blog again! Thanks for your positive encouragement and your prayers. It definitely has just been one of those weeks, thankfully it is almost Sunday.
I also forgot to blog that my other boss was kind of trying to force her dog on me to watch as well but I didn't think that was happening until the 10th so I told her I didn't think it would work out. Good thing too because about 2 hours later is when we found the first couch cushion destroyed!
Love ya!!
